Are you FAUX real?

Hey, my loves! Hope you all are doing well. Today I have an exciting blog post for you all, it's a review on the most anticipated foundation ever - yes you guessed it right, its the HUDA beauty #FauxFilter foundation! I received it a few days ago and I have been obsessed, so I thought it would only be right to do a review and demo for you guys (i also made a video for my Youtube channel so make sure to check that out too!)

A little bit about the foundation...

    (With Flash)
It is a full-coverage velvety foundation, available in 30 shades which is 10 fewer shades than the Fenty Foundation, however it still offers a skin tone spectrum far wider than most high-street and high-end beauty giants! There's definitely a shade for everyone. It claims to give you a flawless long-lasting look in just one application. It is packed with ultra-refined pigments claiming to hide blemishes, conceal imperfections, and camouflage dark circles. It retails at £32.00 and can be found in Selfridges, Harrods or Cultbeauty for those who live in the UK.

So what does it do exactly?...
This intelligent liquid foundation blends seamlessly with skin and dries to a radiant matte powder finish that looks luminous, not dry or cakey. This product is enriched with Argan Oil which provides hydration and nourishment for the skin (double-win). It's this fade-proof formula that blends seamlessly into the skin, simultaneously working to improve skin texture. It claims to give flawless full-coverage with just one pump which you can see above...it definitely does.

My opinions...
I ordered my foundation of the Cult Beauty website, therefore I had to guess my shade (bit risky). Luckily HUDA released a shade chart that i was able to compare other foundation shades such as the Kat Von D and NARs foundation to find the correct shade. I picked Brown Sugar 410G – which is suitable for tan skin tones with golden undertones. I also love how each foundation was named after an item of food which shows Huda's personal touch to the foundation line.
When I received the foundation, I was absolutely amazed at the quality of the product. It comes in a plastic container, however, it looks and feels expensive (perfect for travelling). The foundation comes with a pump which I must say is excellent as it allows you to take total control of how much you want to pump out, in other words, it doesn't come out all at once which I've experienced in the past.
Secondly, I noticed the texture was quite a thick consistency which is similar to the Kat Von D - Lock it foundation. As you'd probably expect,  it is quite thick and high coverage BUT it does not look cakey what-so-ever! I'm really impressed by the formula. It gives a flawless coverage, hiding all my scars and pigmentation, yet it still looks natural. The finish of this product is matte but not chalky and thanks to the argan oil, it provides a protective, nourishing layer over the skin.
This foundation also smells insaneee! I have never experienced any other foundation that smells like perfume apart from this one. I think HUDA really has thought about every single detail of the product. I also must mention that this foundation ain't going anywhere! None of that slipping and sliding down the face business, this foundation clings on for dear life (in a good way!)
My final verdict...
This product is all your skin prayers answered in a bottle. You need this in your life. This foundation line is perfect in every way, including the colour range, undertones of the foundation, consistency, application and finish. The name says it all! It honestly looks like a real-life filter on your face, and who doesn't want that?
