OOTD: Ruffle Trousers

The sun is out in London for Bank Holiday weekend and what perfect weather for wearing these ruffle trousers which I freaakinggg adore! The ruffle trend has been seen on the catwalk for Spring/ Summer '17 and I am a big fan of this fashion trend. These trousers have a feminine touch as well as being on trend for this season. These trousers are perfect for transitioning from Summer into Autumn as they cover up your legs but still keep you cool with its lightweight material. This can be paired with a sleeveless cami for warmer days or a high-neck tight fitted knit for colder months ahead. At first I was unsure with how the trousers would fit around my hips but I was pleasantly surprised with how nicely they sat on my hips without highlighting any bulges after eating (ladies you know what I talking about) which I'm sure everyone is conscious about. I never usually like wearing trousers but these gorgeous tailored trousers have made me expand my style horizons without it being office-y or boring with the added ruffle...

P.S- Head over to my instagram to see where I shot this look which matches my outfit! ðŸ’—💗
I paired the trousers with a white cropped top from River Island (I'll link similar ones below) which  revealed enough of my upper midriff for me to still feel comfortable in and not feel super conscious. The cut of the top was flattering as well as keeping it simple to show off the detail of the trousers. I kept the jewellery very simple too, as the ruffle detail on the pockets and hem of the trousers act as an accessory already (bonus) and makes the outfit more casual for the daytime.

Also these trousers are cropped which means they are perrrfectt for showing off these classy pink heels. I got these shoes a few years ago from H&M which means I can't find the exact pair but I will link similar items below. These shoes are the epitome of class and being feminine (my two favourite words) without them being too office-y for my liking. The heel is not too high which means they were comfy enough to walk through the streets of London. The soft suede material, pointed toe and the heel brings sophistication to the whole outfit and ahhh I just obsessed with this whole look!

I hope you guys have enjoyed reading this blog. Please leave me comments on what you want to see on this blog as well as any other items which you think I may love!  x

OOTD: Collar Signs

This outfit was inspired by the trend of pink and red which was seen during London Fashion Week which honestly I was not expecting to see down the runway. Although both colours clash, I was pleasantly surprised at how the colours worked together and how the outfit made a statement with the small details (in love with the collar!) This outfit is definitely classy chic and is something you can wear during the day. Never in a million years would I have thought that pink and red would work together but if you're not feeling too brave you could always add a pop of colour (a red handbag or even a classic red lipstick) to a pink outfit.
I absolutely adore this  lace collared top which I purchased from Oasis (now on sale!) and I love the contrast between the burgundy and light pink and the detailed work. This top is definitely something you can transition into your work-wear by pairing it with a black skirt or skinny-cigarette style trousers. This midi-skirt is from Boohoo which I got in nude but it looked more light pink in real life. The A-line skirt fits nicely and wasn't too flowy which I liked as still showed off my figure. I nearly went for pink heels but then I thought I was going overboard with the pink so I decided on these strappy black heels from New Look which are my all time favourite shoes!

Glam Valentine's Day Date Night Look | Pink and Purple

Hello everyone! Valentine's Day is just around the corner and I wanted to create a look that was perfect for date night or even if you're single and celebrating with your girlfriends! Instead of going for the typical red-lip makeup, I chose instead to use pink and purple which is just as feminine. I love how this turned out and I hope you all try and recreate the look regardless of what you're doing! xx

First of all I moisturised my face using my Simple Face cream which I have talked about in my skincare post. I then went in with the Benefit Porefessional Primer to create a smooth base and to prevent my skin becoming oily throughout the night.

Next for foundation I used my Nars Sheer Glow foundation which I'm absolutely loving right now and has the perfect coverage without looking cakey! For my base I used a damp Beautyblender  which I also used to apply the concealer with.

For contour, I used a cream contour which I applied to my cheekbones, around my forehead and down the sides of my nose and used the lightest shade in the palette under my eyes in a upside down triangle shape and down the bridge of my nose. I then blended this out using my Beautyblender and set the contour with the Hoola bronzing powder whilst also setting the highlighted areas with the Laura Mercier secret brightening powder. For blush I used the Milani Luminso which is my absolute favourite. Once I finished most of the base I set my concealer with the brightening powder and moved onto the eyes.

For the eyes I used a light brown shade as my transition shade so that the eye shadows will blend together with no harsh lines. After applying the brown shade I used a dark purple shade from the Sleek eyeshadow palette just under the brown shade in the crease. These eye shadows are highly pigmented so it's important to use a light hand. For my lid I used a shimmery pink shade (Bordello) from the Urban Decay Shadow box and used that over the entire lid. I then went into the lighter purple shade (Tornado) and applied it into the crease so the pink and purple were blended nicely. I wanted the pink on the lid to pop more so I dampened the brush and applied more pink on the lid. Under the eye I used the dark purple shade from the Sleek palette again to smoke out the bottom lash line but added a touch of Flash (bright purple) from the Urban Decay palette which I absolutely loved! I wanted a clean cut with the eyeshadow so I took a makeup wipe to clean out the edges and make it sharp!

Next I used my Master Ink eyeliner to create my signature wing look and applied mascara to my top and bottom lashes. Recently I'm loving using individual lashes since they look more natural as well as being so much easier to apply on the eyes!

I filled in my eyebrows using the trusty Brow Promade in dark brown by Anastasia Beverly Hills and an angled eyeliner brush.

I knew for this look I wanted to go for a pink lip but still making the eyes the main focus. Initially I applied the Kat Von D lipstick in Beloved and found it just too bright for the look so I applied Smoked Peach by Revlon to tone down the pink and was pleased with how it turned out. Also I forgot to use a lip pencil so I just lightly lined my lips using Spice lip pencil.

I then finished the look with my favourite part, highlighter! I decided to use the shades Mimosa and Starburst from the Anastasia Glow Kit for my cheeks and the inner corners of my eyes and as you can see that highlighter is BOMB!!!

Last but not least, I wanted the makeup to last the whole entire night so I took my Makeup Revolution setting spray and gave a good 3-4 sprays all over the face to make sure it didn't budge!
